Training!
We spent another week in Dedza in the mountains for our IST (In-service training) and we were all together again! I haven't seen many of my fellow volunteers for three months so it was a refreshing and comforting time for all. We ate well and for me, more than I would in a month! We try to pack on the pounds when away from site (our homes) because most of us lose while away. We were exposed to many different funding sources for projects and had a chance to vent and share our stories. (Check out the picture of the "funniest student names!") Peace Corps loves to have us "process" and we often joke about "processing the processing sessions." We had some games and a trip to Mua Mission. It was an amazing place and I will upload photos of it next week and add some info. For the most part, a great week besides a few verbose presentations that made us all want to jab ourselves. Malawians are very redundant in their speech culturally and when we are 45 minutes late for lunch as Americans, we start getting restless!
