I was elected as a representative of VAC (Volunteer Action
Committee) with Brian (pictured on the left). We attend monthly
meetings and report back to our group. We discussed the 4th of July Celebration that will take place on June 7th (confusing to talk about) and other issues related to safety & security and new developments. VAC awards up to $125 to each volunteer through a grant program. Proposals are reviewed at each meeting and most all approved. At my first meeting we looked at a proposal to host a debate/quiz tournament and also listened to someone report about money they used to start selling peanut butter in their community.
