Health camp news!

I joined together with a fellow Peace Corps volunteer and a Norweigian volunteer living in my area and the 3 of us put on a 3 day Health Camp. Students from 6 different schools participated with a focus in "Health Careers." Students discussed health issues in their communities, toured the local government hospital, listened to a career panel consisting of an optician, a patient attendant, an HIV/AIDS coordinator, and a Clinical officer. Students also had a chance to practice writing job applications and resumes. We scheduled in time for fun with a balloon toss, camp fire with roasted marshmellows (most kids didn't like them), and other tag-like games. It was a great experience for me and it inspired the 4 students from my school to return back and start a Health Club. I will keep you posted on that!!Enjoy the photos!
